Senior Project Manager – ITD Governance & Delivery Execution

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivery execution mechanics across complex IT programs and initiatives, ensuring disciplined planning, governance adherence, and day-to-day operational control.

 

This role does not own business requirements or benefit realization; it partners closely with Program Managers, who are accountable for delivery against business objectives, scope prioritization, and outcomes. The Senior Project Manager owns TAG’s IT and Digital Organization (ITD) governance execution for strategic IT programs and initiatives and additional projects as the portfolio evolves.

In this role you can expect to

Success in this role is demonstrated by measurable delivery performance, governance compliance, and predictable execution across the portfolio, including:

  • Plan and execution predictability: Maintain an integrated plan; deliver >90% of key milestones on time (or approved re-baselined) each quarter; keep RAID current with >90% of high/critical issues owned with due dates and mitigations.

  • Governance adherence: 100% of required ITD tollgates completed on time with complete artifacts and approvals; zero critical audit findings attributable to governance non-compliance.
  • Reporting and change control: On-time weekly status reporting with clear RAG status and decisions needed; 100% of scope/schedule/budget changes processed through change control with documented impact.
  • Financial and vendor performance: Monthly forecast accuracy within ±10%; >95% of vendor milestones delivered on time with documented acceptance criteria; exceptions resolved within agreed SLAs.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Own delivery execution mechanics including integrated plans/schedules, RAID management, financial tracking, and resource coordination.
  • Run delivery cadence including status reporting, milestone tracking, and issue/risk escalation.
  • Enforce disciplined change control; identify governance gaps and delivery risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Own and operate ITD governance processes across programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ITD tollgates, standards, and approvals; prepare governance materials for steering committees, architecture reviews, and funding decisions.
  • Coordinate delivery across internal teams and external partners, including project- level budgets, forecasts, and vendor milestones.

 

All About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • Strong experience delivering large-scale, complex IT initiatives (e.g., enterprise platform implementations, multi-region rollouts, and multi-workstream deliveries), including vendor management, tollgate governance, and project financial management (budget/forecasting).
  • Proven experience operating within formal IT governance frameworks.
  • Strong planning, tracking, escalation, and delivery discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery reporting.

  • Experience delivering in Agile or hybrid delivery environments (e.g., Scrum/Kanban) while operating within enterprise governance and ITD tollgates.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 for collaboration, document management, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform in an enterprise environment (e.g., releases, integrations, and/or business process changes).
  • Experience creating executive-ready status reporting and clear PowerPoint updates for senior leadership (status, risks, dependencies, decisions).
  • Experience with vendor commercial management (e.g., SOWs, change orders, acceptance criteria, and milestone-based delivery).
  • Exposure to global delivery and rollout planning across regions/time zones, including coordination of change management and adoption activities.

  • Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000 per year plus annual bonus opportunity

Placement within this range is determined based on geographic location, experience, and other compensatory factors.
